VLADIMIRO ELVIERI, whom we are very pleased to welcome in our PRISM 5 - London exhibition, 2015, is curator and chief instigator of

L’Arte e il Torchio / Art and the Printing Press Biennale at Cremona in Italy.

The YANAGISAWA GALLERY, Urawa, Japan, where we held our second Prism exchange exhibition, is a long established Tokyo-area gallery specialising in international and Japanese artists working mostly with print but also in other media.. Toshiaki Yanagisawa, whose father was a very well known and respected engraver of personal seals, has devoted much effort to bringing his gallery artists outside Japan, notably to the Dublin Printmakers, but also to North America..

The SPAZIO OSTRAKON Milan, owned and run by Dorino Iemmi, is an exciting and very contemporary gallery showing a wide variety of international artist on a regular basis. Dorino's cultivated knowledge of art, of the Italian art scene, and many connections makes him a vital part of cultural life in Milan. Prism were very excited and grateful for the opportunity to bring our artists to his gallery in October 2014.

More about the Spazio Ostrakon can be found at:

There are always new and diverse shows so the site is well worth taking a peak at.

The GALLERY GOTO in Tokyo's Ginza, is a highly regarded gallery run by Mrs. Mariko Goto for the last nine years at the present location. It is a well appointed gallery showing regular changing exhibitions by some of Japan's most exciting young or established artists. Her knowledgeable support has encouraged many fledgling artists over that time.

One of our newest associates is JIAN ZHOU, recently graduated from the Royal College of Art and busily curating exhibitions in China, as well as setting up his print studio in London.

Jian very kindly immediately offered the Printworks group a space in his Hangzhou Impact 9 exhibition taking place during the Impact 9 Conference in October 2015. Prism is deeply grateful for this kind offer for its associates and Printworks will send a box set of prints to the China Academy of Arts. Ian Brown and Trevor Banthorpe are also independently taking a space in Jian's Impact 9 exhibition. We wish them all good luck.

KAWALABO!

Masahiro Kawara, Master Printer and proprietor of the KAWALABO! print studio in Machida City, Tokyo, Japan, kindly assisted in various ways with Prism 5 London. As well as running his studio where he assists numerous Japanese artists in producing their work, and editioning for them, he is also an artist in his own right, producing fascinating multi-layer lithographs inspired by aged architecture. A major resource for artists in Japan, he is a great teacher as well.
